A honed or polished surface is achieved by grinding the cut face with successively finer grades of abrasive to remove saw marks from the surface of stone tiles. Marble and harder Limestone that could be easily polished are sometimes finished honed to take advantage of the simple fact that minor wear and tear is not so obvious on a honed surface.

Product Information

These honed marble tiles create a classic, yet contemporary look. The yellowy beige background colour has distinctive cream veining that look just as good on walls as on the floor. The tiles exhibit some variation in background colour, veining and movement. These stone tiles are hard and durable therefore suitable for a wide range of commercial applications.

A honed surface provides a flat, matte or satin finish creating a more informal and softer look. This finish is created by stopping short of the last stage of polishing. A honed finish shows fewer scratches, and requires very little maintenance. It goes very well with minimalist designs.
