A honed or polished surface is achieved by grinding the cut face with successively finer grades of abrasive to remove saw marks from the surface of stone tiles.Some materials such as Sandstone and certain Limestone cannot always be polished and are offered in a honed finish only.

Product Information

These honed limestone tiles are a beautiful addition in any room. The beige background colour is enhanced by the fossils infused in the stone. The tiles are relatively uniform in background colour, veining and movement. These stone tiles are very hard and suitable for a wide range of commercial applications.

A honed surface provides a flat, matte or satin finish creating a more informal and softer look. This finish is created by stopping short of the last stage of polishing. A honed finish shows fewer scratches, and requires very little maintenance. It goes very well with minimalist designs.
