A honed or polished surface is achieved by grinding the cut face with successively finer grades of abrasive to remove saw marks from the surface of stone tiles.Some materials such as Sandstone and certain Limestone cannot always be polished and are offered in a honed finish only.

Product Information

These very minimalist limestone tiles are a very popular choice. Off-white, creamy coloured, these honed tiles with veiny brown strands running through it provide a warm feeling in any room. They exhibit nearly no variation. They are very durable and could be used in high trafficked areas.

A honed surface provides a flat, matte or satin finish creating a more informal and softer look. This finish is created by stopping short of the last stage of polishing. A honed finish shows fewer scratches, and requires very little maintenance. It goes very well with minimalist designs.
